Ronald Bilius "Ron" Weasley (born March 1, 1980) is a character is a character in J.K. Rowling's book series Harry Potter. In the film adaption of the books he is portrayed by Rupert Grint.
In 1991, he began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he was sorted into the Gryffindor house and became best friends with Harry Potter and later Hermione Granger. During his time at Hogwarts with the two, they saved the Philosopher's Stone from Quirinus Quirrell, saved his sister from the Chamber of Secrets, formed Dumbledore's Army and fought in multiple battles of the Second Wizarding War. He became a Gryffindor prefect and was a Keeper on the Gryffindor Quidditch Team. He skipped his last year of school to accompany Harry and Hermione on a quest to destroy Lord Voldemort's Horcruxes and fought in the Battle of Hogwarts.
After the war he worked at Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes with his brother George. He and Hermione married and they have two children: a daughter named Rose and a son named Hugo.
